Three-time All-Ireland winner Enda McGinley will be back in a Tyrone jersey for the Championship, after selector Tony Donnelly dismissed reports that the midfielder has quit the squad. McGinley has been ruled out of contention for the remainder of Tyrone's NFL campaign in an effort to recover from injuries, which have blighted his career to date. It is expected that the Errigal Ciaran clubman will be back to full fitness in time for Tyrone's Ulster SFC first round encounter against Antrim on May 23.

A bicyclist was killed late Thursday when he was struck by a tractor-trailer on U.S. 23 south of M-50 in Monroe County's Dundee Township, authorities said. Douglas A. Ladd, 46, of Petersburg, was dead at the scene. Mr. Ladd was northbound on U.S. 23 about 10:50 p.m.  

Piper Jaffray maintains a 'Neutral' rating on SunPower Corp. (Nasdaq: SPWRA ), raises price target from $22 to $25. Piper analyst says, "...SPWR provided in line FY10 revenue guidance but PF EPS guidance was below consensus; additionally 1Q10 guidance was much lower due to backend-loaded systems revenue. The stock will likely be weak near term on the below-consensus guidance; however, we believe that SunRay's 1.2GW pipeline and EMEA presence should greatly increase SunPower's visibility into 2010 and 20  

Teenager Katie Goldman came from the clouds to emerge as a genuine 800m freestyle Commonwealth Games medal contender with a personal best at the trials in Sydney. Goldman (8:22.87) produced one of the swims of the meet so far at Sydney Olympic Park to claim the title, coming within two hundredths of a second of the national record Kylie Palmer set in a supersuit at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A New York woman who owes $9 million to her lover's wife in North Carolina says she plans to appeal the court judgment against her. The News & Record of Greensboro reported 49-year-old Anne Lundquist of Aurora, N.Y., didn't attend the 2-day trial in Greensboro earlier this week, and wasn't represented by an attorney. Lundquist says she had planned to represent herself, but the court didn't give enough warning about when the case was going to trial.  

A hamstring injury suffered in last Sunday's win over Roscommon has ruled Michael Magill out of Antrim's NFL Division Three clash with Offaly. The Rasharkin man was forced to make way for Conor Murray after 23 minutes last Sunday and the same player comes in for Magill for the Tullamore game. Gerard Boyle starts in Magill's full-forward role with Murray lining out at left corner.

Brockton Capital, the private equity real estate fund manager, is believed to have secured around £400m of equity for a new £1bn UK fund. The firm, which was set up five years ago by David Marks and Jason Blank, is understood to have raised the equity for its second fund, Brockton Capital Fund II, from a variety of mainly institutional investors. The fund's first closing took place at the end of last year and a second closing is expected in the summer, which could increase the equity to nearer £500m.
